West Street Studio is owned and operated by
John Green, a long-time veteran of the Delaware music scene. He has
performed with such artists as Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Alison Krause,
America, and Charlie Daniels to name a few, and recorded with local
artists like Nik Everett, Darryl Keith, Michael Mason, Beautifully
Broken and many others. John now turns his attention to writing,
recording, and producing; talents he has developed over the years
writing songs and commercials, working in radio production, and working
with live music production in the studio, at the club level, and
large-scale events.
As the bassist and musical director for
Michael Mason/Southern Pride and Stillwater, renowned Country, Rock,
Rhythm and Blues acts, John performed with a variety of acts on the
local and national level, in musical styles ranging from rock to R&B,
jazz to country. Whether playing bass, acoustic and electric guitars, or
keyboards, he has often been utilized as a stage manager, production
engineer, and music director in addition to being a performing band
member.
Art Pavoni, percussionist for one of
Delaware’s best groups ‘The Snap’ and owner of Hot Rhythm Studios in
Pennsylvania where John has produced and engineered a series of
percussion-oriented sessions, says “It’s amazing how John is able to
transform rough cuts into final product. His involvement in the
production process is critical and intense, yet it never interferes with
the client’s intent or approach. John can get a great sound out of
almost any conditions, and he’s magic with drums and percussion.“ And
Tony Kukulich, bass player, teacher, and session player, says, “John has
an uncanny ability to get great sounds and get them quickly. If John is
engineering a session, I never have to worry about my sound. I know
he’ll get a great tone every time." |
